Hiya! Get to know me-

Professional Career

After honing my skills at Culinary Institute of Charleston, my career took me to some of my favorite kitchens across the United States. I've had the privilege of working alongside and learning from talented chefs and coworkers at restaurants including:

  • Chubby Fish, Charleston, South Carolina

  • Found Oyster, Los Angeles, California

  • Hen of the Wood, Burlington, Vermont

When I first moved to Vermont, I worked as a farmhand, pulling onions from the earth and selling them at the local farmer market. As a chef, I'm deeply committed to organic and sustainable farming practices, believing that the journey from soil to plate should be one of respect for nature and the ingredients it provides.

Early Beginnings

My culinary journey begins in my youth as the 5th child in a family of 8 raised in Northeast Ohio. From a young age I understood that sports were not my forte but I excelled in expressing myself through art. As I jumped into the world of culinary arts, I realized that cooking was more than just a hobby but a genuine passion that would shape my life's journey. Encouraged by the support of my family, I embarked on this adventure. My parents would let me run amuck in the kitchen. My grandparents introduced my palate to dishes from their childhoods, and I started to receive cookbooks for birthday and Christmas gifts. By age 11, I was cooking through The American Girl Cookbook on Saturday afternoons.

I am a chef who lives to create delicious and intentional meals. I believe that food is medicine, and I strive to use fresh, whole ingredients in my cooking. I am passionate about teaching others about cooking. I offer cooking classes and workshops in my community. I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to learn how to cook, and I am happy to share my knowledge with others.
